Burger King Is Giving Away Free Whoppers Today

Burger King is celebrating its 68th birthday today with a number of special offers for consumers.

Members of the Royal Perks program who spend $1 or more on any item today only can get a free Whopper Jr. sandwich from the Whopper’s house. Free Whopper Jr. is yours for the taking when you order on Burger King’s website, mobile app, or at any participating location.

The Whopper Jr. is a flame-grilled beef patty served on a sesame seed bun with sliced white onions, mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce, and tomato slices.

Burger King is launching a limited-edition birthday crown that was developed in conjunction with Miami-based artist Romero Britto, redesigning its most distinctive symbol—the crown. This will keep the festivities going.

Getting a Whopper and a crown at Burger King is one of my earliest recollections of being in the US. “It felt like a natural fit,” Britto stated in a news statement, adding that he rarely dined at any other restaurants. In fact, his first date with his wife was at a Burger King.

“Having the opportunity to redesign the iconic BK crown is such an honor, and having been a fan of the brand for so long this partnership brings it all full circle.”

Now available at select retailers around the country are the new birthday crowns designed in the manner of pop art, including a burger and fries.

They can also provide guests with the chance to win a free year’s worth of Burger King food.

Burger King lovers can enter to win by taking a selfie with the crown and posting it to Instagram with the hashtag #BKCrownSweepstakes and tagging @burgerking. The vibrant headpieces are available for purchase for a limited time only.

Shortly after Burger King introduced a slew of new menu items, they announced these time-sensitive sales.

The Cheesy Breakfast Melts, Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, 2 for $5 Mix ‘n Match, and free fries for the remainder of the year for Royal Perks members are all part of this. The restaurant has also expanded its 2 for $5 promotion.
