Costco offers a wide range of affordable and delicious products, including chicken options like the fan-favorite rotisserie chicken and boneless, skinless signature Kirkland brand chicken filets (with an organic chicken breast option), which come in convenient, pre-packaged pouches to make weekday meals and cooking at home easy and simple.
And, because Costco frequently releases new or seasonal items, many of which are made with chicken, there are plenty of opportunities to try out new chicken products.
Costco, for example, recently debuted Southwest Rotisserie Chicken Wraps, which drew mixed reviews from customers.
However, according to some social media users, Costco’s new Kirkland Chicken Nuggets, which were recently released, have been a huge success.
Customers even think the new chicken nuggets taste exactly like Chick-fil-A’s chicken nuggets, describing them as incredibly soft, moist, and juicy with a crisp surface (the nuggets are lightly breaded) and prepared with boneless, skinless chicken breast meat.
Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks at Costco
Costco sells the new Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks for $13.99 per 4-pound bag.
Because the nuggets are fully cooked, they’re ideal for a quick and fast supper or snack. Simply reheat in the microwave, oven, or air fryer—though the latter two produce crispier nuggets!
We originally saw these nuggets on the Instagram account Costcohotfinds, which found them to be great and highly recommended them, stating, “The seasoning is on point and no chewy pieces!!”
The post spurred discussions among other users regarding the best methods to consume them, how they compare to other brands, and how close they taste to Chick-fil-A’s chicken nuggets (there is an overall consensus).
“These are the best!!” said Instagram user @Camilledays on the post. Better than the Soul and Just Bare brands.”
(I discovered two more chicken nuggets at Costco.) The user then added a recommendation, recommending that they air fry them or prepare them in a skillet or wok with kung pao sauce for a quick stir-fry supper.
On Reddit, the nuggets have received a lot of great comments. Users generally remarked that they’re better than Just Bare’s nuggets and taste and texture similar to Chick-fil-A’s nuggets.
“Better than the current Just Bare,” Reddit user thediew remarked. Something a little different. Not as sweet, but more flavorful. Which is what I prefer.”
Consider stopping at Chick-fil-A for dipping sauces the next time you get them (and if you haven’t already, you should) so you can enjoy Costco’s new Kirkland chicken pieces at home with your favorite sauce.
Also, try combining a few sauces—according to consumers, there are some highly rated Chick-fil-A dipping sauce combos.
